Time Dynamics Ltd sells Chronograph as a web service that can be hosted by Time Dynamics, at a hosting company or on your own premises.
Chronograph provides a unified multi-user experience taylored to your needs by the inclusion or exclusion of different features which we call products. These are described on the Home page of this site and those descriptions are repeated below in a more extended layout.
The most basic product is Time Tracker which is "almost" free at £4 per user per month. Adding all the products currently available takes you up to about £60 per user per month. Obviously we have designed our products to save you time, and time is money, but which products save you money, will depend very much on how your organisation functions. You can always try other products when you like, to see if they are right for you.
Some products do require other products to be present first in order for them to function.
Our support service is there to help you use Chronograph but is no substitute for a step by step organisational training package tailored to help you to get the very best out of your Chronograph.

Time Team allows people to assign tasks between each other and give restricted visibility into each other's task trees. Progress of the assigned tasks is clearly visible. Assignment only takes place with confirmed agreement between the assignor and performer. Once agreed, a task's parameters are then fixed unless the assignor and performer together agree to change them. This is vital for managing project teams across the organisation.
At any time before or during a project, any task can;

Time Planner adds classic flat Critical Path Method (CPM) to Chronograph, a Gantt chart with the usual predecessor/successor relations. Also a time frame and an amount of work time can be specified for each task as required, allowing the mixing of CPM planned tasks with unplanned tasks. "Worked" and "Slip" benchmarks are provided in the leading columns to show work over the allocated time and how far ahead or behind any task is, as it progresses.
To the left (or above on a narrow screen) are two flat CPM Gantt chart for the same project. The first highlights the earliest possible planned execution in blue and the second highlights the latest possible planned execution in red. The task order is based on start time and so tasks are re-ordered accordingly. Click to show a larger image of the early chart or the late chart.
When also using Time Tracker and Task Tree with Time Planner, worked time can be overlayed onto the Gantt chart so you can make a clear comparison between tracked time and planned time, and you also have the convenience of sub-tasking to any depth. See the chart below. This chart shows the earliest possible execution but note the red "shadow" plan in the background showing the latest possible execution.

Task Tree allows every task to be easily broken down into sub-tasks or to be included in a super-task. The number of levels is not restricted. a project is simply one high level task of perhaps many and it is therefore easy to see inter-project dependencies and work allocations in concurrent projects.
Clear warnings are given when the time interval required by sub-tasks is larger than the time interval of the task.

Frequently projects or tasks and their sub-tasks need to be repeated. Task Template allows any task structure the user chooses to be re-used thus forming a template for a new task. You can assign the same or different people to the roles involved and completely re-plan the task as you wish, but you save a lot of duplicated planning work.At any time before or during a project, any task can be copied with all its subordinate-tasks, and placed anywhere in the task hierarchy.
The chart to the right or above ( Click here for a larger image ) shows part of the beginnings of a NASA project life cycle template. A depth limit of 4 levels of subordinate-tasks is applied to hide very low level tasks. Currently no roles or work times are allocated and only some guessed time frames appear.
Task Template costs £8 per month per person.
With Cash Planner you can easily;
Cash Planner costs £10 per month per person.
This is currently under development but the idea is to be able to record actual income and outgoing cash related to any task as and when it occurs, thus allowing a clear comparison between the planned and the actual cash flow.
